E-CAD Connectors Simplify Processes in Aras

We provide connectors to the following E-CAD products: OrCAD (Cadence PCB Solution), Altium Designer, Mentor PADS Connector and Cadence Allegro.The E-CAD connectors are built to simplify key processes in Aras PLM. These solutions are built with the latest API and the UX capabilities that make it very effective and user friendly.

The connectors use Aras built-in methodologies for managing revisions and generation via flow processes. As an option, we have a custom electronics template database for rapid implementation.

Managing your company’s component libraries has always been difficult. Now you can manage your component in Aras, attach manufacturer part numbers, control the parts via change processes, and easily access these components in your E-CAD tools.

Because we know E-CAD, and we know PLM, we pre-validate the data saved to Aras before any mistakes are made. We check for the right statuses and duplication of reference designation, and perform many other validations.

The E-CAD tools are built to:

The Import Wizard makes it easy and efficient to load legacy data from your old PDM or PLM system or a periodic BOM or part.The intuitive UI simplifies data import without additional scripting or text files revisions. Generic data loader

Load any data to Aras from Excel sheets, including ItemTypes, Relationships and complete files to Aras. Load multiple ItemTypes and Relationships in a single import. No matter which version of Excel you use, and no matter how many sheets you want to load, there is no need for complicated text file conversions.

We provide pre-defined templates to reduce administrative time, which automates properties mapping.

The tool validates your data before loading, and will use configuration methodologies to make sure your data is 100% complete.

Aras Solutions

ERP Sync Engine syncs data between Aras Innovator and your ERP, MES, CRM or other external systems.

ERP Sync Engine is unique because it interfaces between PLM and ERP and it can work with any ERP system. It is built into the standard data model of Aras Innovator, allowing you to fully configure the solution from within your Aras client.The tool creates a shared database infrastructure with the ERP system, which allows us to exchange and govern data between PLM and ERP (or MES, CRM and other systems), without the need to know the API of your specific ERP system.

Transparency

Once the system is set up, your users and administrators do not have to do anything. The ERP Sync Engine takes care of the synchronization and sends you reports as you need them.

Asynchronous synchronization

Users do not have to wait until synchronization takes place. The system uses a job server that synchronizes in the background, even if PLM is sending a large BOM to your ERP system.

 

Built-in translation

It is typical for ERP and PLM to use different data types or values for the same thing. For example, your PLM might use a True/False list while the ERP might use Boolean 1 or 0 as a flag. The ERP Sync Engine has a built-in translation mechanism so that the ERP and PLM understand each other.

Reports

ERP Sync Engine sends and stores sync information, which identifies whether the broadcasts were successful or faulty. For instance, it sends an email to the administrator about failed or mismatched operations, improper translations of data and temporary system failures.
